How to clear inactive onu's in BDCOM epon olt?

If you are using Bdcom EPON olt in your FTTH network you should have faced the problem of pon unstable issues on your customer's onu. As per epon technology capacity, we can connect only upto 64 onu on a EPON OLT pon port. If randomly onu's are connected in any pon port of Bdcom olt they are automatically registered in that pon ports. By default Bdcom olt don't have configuration to clear the inactive onu's registered in Bdcom olt pon port .So, old registered inactive onu's in the pon port are still not erased and the new onu can't get registered until the old inactive onu 's are cleared in the pon port.To clear the inactive onu and solve the pon unstable problem in bdcom epon olt please follow below steps accordingly.

When you check inactive onu in bdcom olt you can see more old registered inactive onu's in pon port. They are not cleared until you enter the configuration to clear. You can also set time interval in your olt to clear the inactive onu. To clear your inactive onu you can follow below steps.

1)Login your Bdcom Epon olt using their remote IP and login credentials and execute the below steps:-

In default BDCOM olt configuration, you can see the config like this

2)You should have to execute this command:-

In global config mode:-
epon auto-clear-onu-lost enable
epon onu-lost-time (time as per your need in second)

After executing the command your olt configurations should look like.

In this example I have used the value 300 means 300 second i.e. 5 minutes. After that carefully save the configurations in olt. Then you can now get only active onu in the olt pon port. All the inactive onu's registered in the pon ports are automatically cleared within the interval of 5 minutes.
